The 100,000 ganachakra offerings ceremony (known as Maha Guru Boomtsog in Tibetan) is a traditional Tibetan Buddhist practice dedicated to the welfare of all beings and the world. Due to the particular aspirations, prophecies, and vows made by Padmasambhava, this ceremony is a powerful antidote to the challenges confronting our world at this time.
Padma Ati Buddhist Institute and Trashi Ganden Choepel Ling held the first Padmasambhava for Peace 100,000 Ganachakra Offerings Ceremony at Murrays Bay in 2024. On the advice of our spiritual advisors we will continue this annual tradition in 2026 with the third ceremony to work for peace and celebrate Padmasambhava's birthday, the 10th day of the 6th lunar month.

About
Who is Padmasambhava?
Padmasambhava, whose name means Lotus-Born, is also popularly known by the Tibetan title Guru Rinpoche, meaning precious master. The historical figure of Padmasambhava was a renowned 8th century tantric master from the land of Oḍḍiyāna who was instrumental in introducing Buddhism to Tibet and the wider Himalayan region. Beyond the historical figure, Guru Rinpoche is a personification of the inner guru principle, representing our mind's most fundamental nature and our potential to become a fully enlightened Buddha.

What is a ganachakra offering?
The ganachakra offering is a very profound method for quickly purifying negativities and gathering vast stores of merit and wisdom. The term literally means "circle/wheel of gathering," and can refer to the gathering of offerings substances, guests, practitioners, qualities, and results.
